Japanese Omamori-Inspired Acrylic Charm, featuring the beloved Shiba Inu!
What are Omamori?
Omamori are Japanese amulets commonly sold at Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples. These amulets are said to provide various forms of luck and protection. Typically, one acquires an omamori, and they are replaced once a year by returning them to the same shrine and/or temple they were acquired from so they can be disposed of properly.
A percentage of profits from the sales of these omamori will be donated to the Shinto Shrine of Shuuse Inari in America.
The kanji on the back (厄除 御守) reads "Victory (Triumph) Amulet". The dog is often represented in Japanese folklore as defenders of people, and can resist evil spirits and demons.
